Best Parks for Kids

Playgrounds, splash pads, water-park days, beach facilities, and neighborhood green space for Deerfield families.

How we keep this useful

Picked and checked by hand; updated when hours, venues, menus, or source pages change.

1. Sullivan Park

Start here for a focused kid outing near the water. The official page lists playground features, a splash pad, pavilion rentals, and park hours from dawn to dusk.

2. Mayo Howard Park

Use Mayo Howard for younger kids and a smaller, easier green-space plan. The city page lists two tot playgrounds, volleyball, a picnic pavilion with grills and tables, walking and fitness trails, exercise stations, and open space.

3. Pioneer Park

Use Pioneer when the family needs more than a playground. The city page lists a playground, covered picnic tables, tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, a T-ball field, a fishing dock, and a boat launch ramp.

4. Quiet Waters Park

Use Quiet Waters for the bigger Broward County park day. The county page places the park at 401 S. Powerline Road, and Broward's Splash Adventure page ties the water-play area to Quiet Waters Park.

5. Deerfield Beach and International Fishing Pier

Use the beach and pier when the plan is sand, lifeguards, volleyball, and a walk over the water. The city beach page says Ocean Rescue protects a one-mile stretch with nine lifeguard towers, and the pier page says the International Fishing Pier is 976 feet long.
